Spring Gala Concert

Our program will include Annie Maughs-Pugh, our Anton Solo Competition winner, performing a marimba concerto accompanied by our Honors Strings ensemble.
All groups except Repertory Strings report by 12:30 to the usual rehearsal spaces. Repertory Strings members report to Dance Studio (lower level, to left of concert hall) at 2:15 for rehearsal.
Baroque Strings in Symphony Orchestra report to Baroque/Philharmonic through 1:50 then stay with Symphony Orchestra. Symphony Orchestra "ringers" report to stage at 12:50 to rehearse with the younger group. Wind Ensemble and Honor Strings start at 12:30, stay combined as Symphony Orchestra from 2:20 on.

Schedule
- Due to travel times and our early start, musicians may want to bring a bag lunch to rehearsal.
- We will have snacks and drinks available for our musicians before the concert.
- The scheduling is tight. Students MUST arrive at least 15 minutes early so that they are ready, with instruments out, to start their rehearsals at the times listed above.
Notes
- Only the Repertory Strings group must wear concert attire for their dress rehearsal. Other groups may change clothes before concert time.
- Concert dress for Senior Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Honors Strings and
Baroque Strings:
- Gents: Black jacket & pants, white shirt and tie (bow tie preferred)
- Ladies: Full black dress (skirts, dresses, slacks and black top)
- Concert Dress for Repertory Strings:
- Gents: Black pants and white shirt and tie
- Ladies: Black skirts/slacks and white blouse
Gala Concert News
- Posters - We have concert posters available. If you can post some in your community, please contact Barb.
- Annie Maughs-Pugh won this year's Anton Solo Competition Award! She will be featured with the Honor Strings at the concert and receive $1,000. Tom Sawyer and Shannon Switzer each received Honorable Mention and $100 awards.
